This is the IOS RON, on the bootloader

Cisco IOS Software, 3800 Software (C3825-ADVIPSERVICESK9-M), Version 12.4(7), RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc6) Technical Support: http://www.cisco.com/techsupport Copyright (c) 1986-2006 by Cisco Systems, Inc.

Like I said 3 YEARS OLD.

My experience with the ISR's is there are many bugs, some unpublished (for obvious reasons, competition, JUNIPER, VYATTA)

So as a practice I NEVER run code older than 6 months with the ISR's

Joe, you're probably commenting on the bootstrap code, not ios.

He's running 12.4(7).

Why are you running 3 year old code?

Never a good idea...
