I passed it using that book as well back in 2007 along with all the ancillary
reading. But the dumping of the written has lead to OEQ appearing on the
practcal lab, that and the problem of 'real' labs of course.

You are talking about strictly the written exam right? For the written all
you should need to worry about is covered in that book. At least that is my
opinion having passed it.

    It is a good book.

Many don't pass that way though. Hence the OEQ's. That and the real labs
of course.

      Hi Gary,

I prepared for this totally lugitimately of course. I used Odom's book
for about 6 weeks hardcore reading and studying....passed on the first try.
Everything you need should be in that book.

I need to rectify in the CCIE written and plan to take it before it
changes to
the new version. Projection is to take it probably around the end of
September. I will be using Odom and CCO. So far as I can tell many
CCIE
candidates are now dumping this cert. Any preparing for it clean who
wants to
keep in touch while they prepare can contact me offline.

        Cheers
