Actually,
I think the lab is going to get a measure easier in my opinion and probably
not harder, per se.
Why:
1. OEQ - Some same vaguely worded and some say impossible, still others
(those who pass usually) say they are pretty much easy.
2. Troubleshooting - 10-12 Tickets in 2 hours. That's about 120 minutes.
I'm thinking that the caliber of questions will resemble the level of
complexity of the former 2 day labs. With that said, I think they will
serve as the new "disciminator" while at the same time they will be doable
by the well-qualified candidate.
3. The remaining 54 points will be higher and more complex lab tasks with
the basic tasks (ip addressing, vlan assignments, and basic connectivity)
already completed for the candidate.
The last time I checked Cisco wants a balance:
1. They want CCIE's - as many as possible.
2. However, they want quality Network Engineers who can deliver quality
results for client networks.
With all that said...
The lab will be easier with regard to some 46 points of the lab. However,
the other 54 points will probably not be earned cheaply given the 5.5
remaining hours allowed to complete the lab.
Things will be very interesting.
Fortunately for me, I get a chance next week to form my own opinions.
