I think the value drops after a very nice day in early August.

Seems that CCIE v3.0 has yet a final chapter to be written before its
usefulness to CCIE v4.0 is exhausted.

Anyway...

I expect that CCIE 4.0 is to be preferred for well-qualified candidates.

Wait and see. In the next week or two things get interesting.

I think the term "statistic" comes to mind.
