Fitter,

Personally I would recommend to start on a vendor workbook along with
reading thru the Cisco documentation. Go to the blueprint and print it out.
Then use this as you use vendor workbooks and the documentation to make sure
you are learning everything that you can in the documentation. Look around
and make a decision on who you want to choose.

For Cisco Press Books I wouldn't recommend anything but the following.
Network Security Technologies and Solutions - Yusuf Bhaiji (He is the
Security Program manager so anything he thinks may be VERY relevant to the
Lab :) )
SSL Remote Access VPNs - Jazib Frahim and David White
Cisco ASA, PIX, and FWSM Firewall Handbook (Second Edition)- David Hucaby
Cisco Network Admission Control Volume II - Here be careful it is a good
reference but some of the material is out dated and wrong. I.E. the
documentation for the NAC on ASA is incorrect in the book with version 8.X.

All the rest of the Cisco Press books you are either going to be reading
material that is incomplete or incorrect due to the massive amount of
updates in the latest releases, especially anything related to IOS.
