class-default confusion

Guys, i have some confusion about class "class-defaut",

What i understand that any traffic that did not match any class-map will go
into the Class Default? Does this includes all the unmatched routing
protocol traffic and layer 2 traffic for which 25 % is already reserved out
of maximum reservable bandwidth?

If you have been asked in the CCIE Lab Exam to configure remaining bandwidth
for "class-default" and you have already reserved Total Reservable bandwidth
for different classes then what one should do? Reserve the 100 % of
remaining bandwidth for class default if it is assumed that all traffic
including routing protocol and layer 2 traffic goes to Class-Default?

or reseve remaining bandwidth 50 % for class default and leave remaining 50%
for the routing protocol and layer 2 traffic if it is assumed that that
traffic does NOT goes to class-default.??

Please help... !!
