Wow, I had the total opposite experience. Our SE was really helpful. He did
it in like 10 minutes. I called him ready to say I'll wash your car if you
can give me some lab time, but he really went out of the way to help.
I guess it depends on their exposure to the program or their workload, etc.
I mean, if you put yourself in their shoes. Juggling someone calling up with
problems with a big purchase they just made or someone calling up wanting a
freebie :)
