My advice:
Use Mock labs - Pick the vendor.
Work on the Core - Don't get mixed up and thrown off course by the wording
of the other non-core questions.
If your solution works - talk about it. Find out why the vendor recommends
their correct solution. There may be more than one way to skin a cat.
Seriously - I used to worry about the other stuff. Hindsight being 20/20,
the core of the matter determines whether you will pass or fail more often
than not.
Besides you can always look the other stuff up if you need to and if you
know the core well, you might even have time to do so.
Here's a thought:
If you take a mock lab once, what's the score?
Review it.
Take it again... What's the score?
Did you improve?
Consider this: Make as many things as familiar as possible prior to taking
the lab. The last thing you want to go to the lab and be riddled with
doubts or insecurities.
Work on your verification early and often. Ask yourself: How can I prove
it?
