I don't think you should rely completely on ASET lab scores when
making the "am I ready?" determination. For the record, my ASET full
lab scores were:
Lab 1: 90.5%
Lab 2: 90.1%
Lab 3: 81.6%
Lab 4: 93.6%
Lab 5: <incomplete> (I can't remember what happened with this one)
Lab 6: 93.8%
I lost points for a variety of reasons, but mostly it was silly
errors, omissions, and misinterpretations. There were only a few tasks
that I felt kicked my butt technically.
I still failed the real lab on my first attempt. There is a lot more
going on -- non-technical stuff -- on the big day.
I found the ASET labs easier than the real lab, mainly due to clearer
task wording, but your mileage may vary. As you've pointed out, the
ASET scoring system is candidate-friendly.
Anyway, my point is, I don't believe there to be a direct correlation
between ASET lab success (or failure) and real lab success (or
failure).
cheers,
Dale
