Quick answer?
1. Advertise a default to the BB
2. Create a bogus loopback that does not exist your rack, DO NOT advertise this route into the IGP.
Int loop888
Ip address 88.88.88.88 255.255.255.0
3. Ping <bb3 ip> source loop 888
If the BB replies, chances are it's learning and taking your default route

Subject: sending default routes to BB
Hi Guys,
On Lab 4 IEWB.
Router 4 has a default route from OSPF (learned from router 3). This route
is being redistributed into RIP and therefore sent to backbone 3.
I was assuming as backbone 3 has the default route it has the route to reach
some of the internal routes. But on looking at BB3
They have filtered default routes from being learnt.
But how do we know in the exam if BB3 has a distribute list to prevent the
default from being learnt?? Should we assume we cant send default to BBs??
Regards,
Vijay
