Or in your case, cat logfile | grep -E "Built|Teardown" -

what command do i need to search the syslog file for lines that contain
either or Built or Teardown ?

i only know how to do it for one or the other, but i don't know how to do it
where it pulls up either or ?

i just know grep and grep -v
