I guess my question was not very clear. Let me try to rephrase it.

I am looking for some clarification on the differences between using a
distribute with the following two syntaxes:

Example A:
router eigrp 100
redistribute ospf 1 metric 1 1 1 1 1
distribute-list 5 out F1/0
!
access-list 5 permit 10.10.10.0
!

VERSUS

Example B:
router eigrp 100
redistribute ospf 1 metric 1 1 1 1 1
distribute-list 5 out ospf 1
!
access-list 5 permit 10.10.10.0
!

Any good documentation would be great.

Thanks,
