As always, the answer is depends:
-what kind of areas are 1,2 ?
-how do you want the routers in this areas reach the loopback of the ABR
(via summary or not)?
-also do not forget to take in consideration the OSPF LSAs (how big should
be the database, do you have constrains on that? )
Those are just few considerations.. you can come up
with more. Your question is too general in my opinion.
