If you want to get on, engineering (CCIE) and design (CCDE) are a good
combo.. To be honest the distinction between Uber Configurator and Uber
Designer
is somewhat blurred. Many time served configuration aces have move into
design over the years while some of the newer design people are perhaps not
so hot on configuration. If seeking both
certs is a problem because of time, then cranking out the CCDE written might
be worthwhile anyway providing one invests time in the reading. Design space
does pay, particularly HLD (High Level Design).
