In the bad economy the real pro's are just tired of having to complete with CCIE's who create "island vlan" situations caused the used layer 3 port channels instead of layer 2 trunks, etc. and these kind of issues I see almost daily....

So once the top dozen or so guys get their CCA they can switch back to charging 2006 "London hedge fund build out" rates

Joe... just take it easy as this announcement is impacting us all. CCIE was
always a "support" or "operations" oriented certification but CCIEs were
also doing Design and Architect work as there was no other higher level
cert. Cisco knew it and hence introduced CCDE and now CCA. It is just
evolution and not revolution so just take it easy.
