Adrian,
When I was granted access, it was on very short notice. I had a week left before the exam and our local SE got me the following sessions:
(Tue) May 5, 2009 14:00 (Tue) May 5, 2009 17:00 3 hrs
(Wed) May 6, 2009 14:00 (Wed) May 6, 2009 18:00 4 hrs
(Fri) May 8, 2009 06:00 (Fri) May 8, 2009 15:00 9 hrs
(Sun) May 10, 2009 17:00 (Sun) May 10, 2009 21:00 4 hrs
(Mon) May 11, 2009 17:00 (Mon) May 11, 2009 21:00 4 hrs
I guess to answer your question, it really depends on what they have available. I can't confirm any of the other max time frames, but the schedule for the gear is M-F 6AM-9PM EST. You can do as many labs as you like, but you have to wait for the router to load the base configs for what you're working on. That typically takes 7-8 minutes. Auto-verify takes about 5 minutes and can be less than helpful if you haven't really attempted that section of the lab, meaning the feedback is better if you're closer on a section rather than not attempting it at all.
As for the difficulty rating, I would say Dale is spot on. The later full length labs were quite challenging and pointed out some week points even days before the exam. The mini-labs were useful as well, but I found that they were just sections of the full-length lab, so after the first two of those, I moved back to the full-length labs.
As you can see, I didn't have much time for full length labs, but I would get as much done as possible, run the auto-verify and mail the report to myself.
