syslog search unix commands

sorry if this is ot but this would really help me out..

is there a unix command that will pull up everything but built and teardown
syslog entries ?

right now I only know how to do these types of searches

syslogsrvr> cat fw_logs | grep 101.66.56.17
syslogsrvr> tail -f fw_logs | grep 101.66.56.17

so like it would be nice it the following actually worked

syslogsrvr> cat fw_logs | except Built | except Teardown
