Ugh, but we have to go learn how to do everything again...well I guess that is the name of the game in this industry : ).

What fun would our jobs be without learning bleeding edge stuff on a monthly basis hehe

Yes, the technology is relatively new, but if the product does half of what
they claim, you will have one hell of a datacenter infrastructure.

We're about to build a datacenter from the ground up to replace one of
our main datacenters and Cisco is recommending the Nexus 5000 series
with 2148's at the top of the cabinets for layer 2 with Cat 6500 series
VSS for layer 3. We have reservations about using this solution since
the 2148's and the VSS solution are fairly new. Does anybody have any
experience with these products and technologies?

Thanks in advance for your help.

The bad part of this move is I'm trying to hit 40 hours a week in study
time up to my Oct. 2nd lab date when work is requiring close to 80 some
weeks... The good part is I get to put my hands on some new hardware. J
