I noticed some possibly conflicting in the cisco doc when it comes to GTS.
from the QOS command reference:
"Generic traffic shaping is not supported on ISDN and dialup
interfaces. Is is also not supported on
nongeneric routing encapsulation tunnel interfaces. Traffic shaping is
not supported with flow switching."
then in the QOS configuration reference:
GTS is not supported on the following interfaces:
Multilink PPP (MLP) interfaces
Integrated Services Digital Networks (ISDNs), dialer interfaces, or
generic routing
encapsulation (GRE) tunnel interfaces on the Cisco 7500 series router
GTS is not supported with flow switching.
"GTS supports traffic shaping on most media and encapsulation types on
the router.
GTS works with a variety of Layer 2 technologies, including Frame
Relay, ATM, Switched Multimegabit
Data Service (SMDS), and Ethernet."
from the first one it says it doesn't work on nongeneric encapsulation
tunnel interfaces
where's the second part it says it works on most and only specifically
mentions that it doesn't on GRE tunnel int's on the series 7500
routers
does anyone know for sure what tunnels types it works on?
