There has been a thread running around GS with some half-truths and just
blatant lies that I would like to address. For those who do not know me, I
am a Master Instructor and Mentor for the Cisco 360 program and I have been
running Rack Time Rentals for 7 years now.
While the Cisco 360 Program is a new offering from Cisco it is far from a
new program. Cisco put out an RFP to all training companies a few years ago
to bid on a project to create what we now know as Cisco 360. NetMasterClass
( <http://www.netmasterclass.net> www.netmasterclass.net) won that bid and
used their proven training program to create the 360 program. This is
material that Bruce Caslow, Val Pavlichenko, and Bob Sinclair have been
working on since before NetMasterClass was formed in 2001. So calling the
Cisco 360 "unproven" is completely false. I have the opportunity to mentor
students through this program. This is a tough program, and we are seeing
many students pass on their first try. Not all the people who pass the lab
are members of Group Study nor do they post their name on any web site. As
for an "unfinished" project, I guess you could look at it that way but all
the training companies have unfinished products due to the fact that the lab
is ever changing and so our material stays true to that paradigm. When a
change is made to the lab, updates can be made immediately to the training
materials because we are HTTP based in our approach.
Finally, saying that Cisco clearly didn't want to offer proven, quality
materials through their partners, is just crazy.
If anyone is going to be at Networkers(Live) and wants to know more "facts"
about the 360 program already upgraded to a new CCIE blueprint 4.0, you can
sign up for the test lab we are conducting on Saturday June 27th or 30th.
We go over the Cisco 360 web portal and the contents that it provides like
your own Road Map, Reference Library, Exercise workbook, new Lessons (Video
on Demand) (already with new labs with troubleshooting section, MPLS /VPN,
12.4T Features, IPv6 EIGRP and multicast), Assessment labs including both
the Troubleshooting and the Configuration sections, CIERS 1 and 2 ILT
classes updated to New CCIE Blueprint version 4.0, and your mentorship.
We are also going to be a Certification Lounge in the evening so pop on by
for a chat! If I don't see you then I'll probably see you in a few years! ;
)
If you have any questions please unicast me!
Thank you,
Bill Burns
