HI Jit,
Yes it a fact that you will have to troubleshoot the initial config for the
devices as they might have wrong ip add or subnet masks, you will have to look
out for the issues like frame relay lmi type mistmatch or switch port
configuration errors by closely scrutinising the running config first..and
then start configuring the devices as per the task.
its better not to be under an illusion that the inital config will be
correct...btw troubleshooting is a part of CCIE lab :)

Hi all,
While this might not be a strategy at the Lab, can some one advise how much
initial configuration is done for you at the Lab (interfaces, loopback
etc....)? I hear ill-informed people (not from GS) advising that you have to
troubleshoot the pre-configuration - is this a fact?
I cannot understand why Cisco would have incorrect initial configs.

Subject: Strategy to be followed in lab
HI guys,
I have some few doubts in my mind regarding the strategy to be followed
inside
the lab.
1) are 8 hrs really sufficient enough to do the lab with a cool mind??
2) before the lunch break which section you should have working or how much
you should cover to make sure you are not running late?.
3)do they provide the lab diagram or just the links between the devices?
4)should i start configuring the devices straight away and troubleshooting as
and when issues arise or should i troubleshoot first then configure?
