Are you talking full BGP routes? If so you'll need something bigger with
more memory - about a full 1GB will be needed to comfortably accept full
routes. Remember that one copy of all paths are stored in the bgp table
while the best paths will be stored in the ip routing table. This accounts
for a lot of memory space when you account for the double copies of stuff.
 I tried to turnup a full BGP session w/ Level 3 once using a 3745 router
with only 512 RAM and it killed that box. We ended up powering off that
router and replacing it with a 3845 w/ 1GB and it's running fine now.
