Naufal,

Give this a read, I used it as part of my initial checks. No one can tell what you should expect from a lab as far as troubleshooting goes. There are trends, but in a perfect world they would all be different.

No such thing as common issues. If you suspect something is wrong, you should be able to find it pretty quickly and fix it.

A mistake such as the "no ip routing" isn't possible as your friend wouldn't have been able to configure routing protocols. So why on earth would he look for routes when he wasn't able to configure any routing protocols?

Don't get side tracked on things like this. If you know your stuff, you'll be able to fix whatever is broken. :)

Hey Guys,

Can anyone give some examples of initial config issues that we may face during
the lab? like someone told me when he was configuring frame relay he wasnt
getting the routes propagated across the peers.after scrutnising the initial
config he saw a "no ip routing" command configured on one of the routers.
would appreciate if some one could share these types of common issues in the
initial config that could save some time of ours..

:)
