Dont forget that PIM=Protocol Independent Multicast hence it can work
fine with any underlying routing protocol so u can have the route to
the mcast source via any interface and with appropriate static mroute
command evry thing shud work fine.
The ip igmp join-group and ip pim rp-address are two mutually
exclusive commands , one can exist independently of the other . BUT in
ur scenario u will need to specify the ip pim rp-address if u have a
mcast source on one of the interfaces of the router OR ur router is a
transit router to the RP.
There also has to be an ip address on f0/1 as that interface tries to
simulate a client which replies to mcast pings hence it must have an
ip address to source replies from.
