Hi Splinter,
Try to "speak" isis level-2 on interfaces that connects both routers.
Right now you have one link connecting both routers and speaking isis level-1, so you get level-1 neighboring. If you connect both routers with a link speaking level-2, you will get level-2 neighboring.

Hi All,
I am having a issue with the following:
on R2 I have all the fastethernet sub-int in level1 and looback0 in level-2
on R7 the same loopback0 also in level-2
for level-1 area is 49.0010
for level-2 area is 49.3010
R2:

ip address 172.10.0.2 255.255.255.255
ip router isis
isis circuit-type level-2-only
router isis
net 49.0010.0000.0000.0002.00
net 49.3010.0000.0000.0002.00
metric-style wide
R7:
interface Loopback0
ip address 172.10.0.7 255.255.255.255
ip router isis
isis circuit-type level-2-only
router isis
net 49.0010.0000.0000.0007.00
net 49.3010.0000.0000.0007.00
metric-style wide
i see the neighbourship between all the level1 routers but not between R2
loop0 and R7 loop0.
please assist.
