Re: CCIP Certification current demand in the market

I reckon CCIP is a good path to take on the way to CCIE R&S or SP. The
process of preparing for the QoS and BGP exams will put you in good
stead for ramping up for the CCIE lab. I haven't done the MPLS exam
but I can't imagine it's any different.

I don't think the QoS material covered in the lab is any harder than
the material covered in Wendell Odom's QoS book. Understand everything
in it (I'm not saying that's easy!), and you won't have any trouble
with the lab.

Keep in mind the CCIP exams are based on the corresponding Cisco
courses. If you work for a Cisco partner, see if you can access the
material on the Partner E-Learning Centre (PEC) site on Cisco.com.
That'll help.

So, irrespective of how relevant it is to the market, if your end goal
is CCIE, you can't go wrong picking up CCIP along the way.

cheers,
Dale
