Hi
I had this situation today
I only have to advertise a prefix if the serial interface is
down. This means that the route to the interface is withdrawn from routing
table. The strange thing is if the prefix to be advertised is redistributed
into bgp (say connected or static), some reason the bgp process could not
apply the advertise-map if this with the serial interface down. However when
you advertise the prefix with the network statement under the bgp process
all works well.
Does this mean that advertise-map does not work with prefixes redistributed
into BGP?
