Milind,
Have you verified that the required virtual links leading to R4 and R3 have been properly built first? If I recall properly, R5 needs a VL to R4 to extend area 0 out to SW2 and R1 and R2 need to be extended to R3 for the link between R4 and R3. And if this is the lab I'm thinking of, I would read the entire section first because you'll authentication for all the links and type 2 authentication for Area 0.

I am doing Internetwork experts ospf virtual links lab of repairing discontigious areas from version 4.1.I am trying to configure virtual link from R3 to R4. I am getting following error messages on Routers.
*Mar 1 02:02:50.331: %OSPF-4-ERRRCV: Received invalid packet: mismatch area ID,
from backbone area must be virtual-link but not found from 2.0.0.2, Ethernet0/0.
R4 to R3 virtual link is up but from R3 to R4 its not showing me up.
Kindly advice.
