Hello GS,
Can oneone suggest a good utility to generate traffic from a laptop/pc on
the lan to test response time across the wan, preferably a free utility that
runs on windows? I would like to obtain stats on response times from the LAN
segment rather than directly from the Cisco router. Also I would prefer to
have it running for some time so that i can get a true representation of any
latency and an extended ping will stop after the number of packets. SLA is
an option if I put a router on the LAN but I would prefer something that
gives a log or graphical output of packets lost, rtt etc. I am sure that
this is a common need when verifying response times and if there is packet
loss on the network.
