Subject: Passed 4th May in Brussels
Hi Group
I've not been very vocal on here to my discredit but this group has
been far and above my greatest technical support.
The CCIE has been in my sights for almost 3 years and my long
suffering wife and children have been putting up with the constant
clack clack of the keyboard for many a long night. For-going family
life was by far the hardest part of this goal and my wife Lisa has
been by my side throughout offering support and kind words. My two
fails were as hard for her to take as they were for me and I thank her
for allowing me to keep going. Lisa is and has been wonderful and I
thank her with all my heart for giving me firstly my wonderful
children and secondly for being my constant shoulder throughout this
trial - love you missus!
So, CCIE 24290 and I passed at my third attempt on the 4th of May. So
what was different this time? Well, May the Fourth is of course the
best time for a Jedi to do anything. This date supported by my 'third
time is a charm' attempt and ... well how could I go wrong? The exam
was excellent and just like Mr Scott Morris says in his audio CD's
(which have haunted me in my commute to work for nearly 1000
days)....this paper seemed so much easier than the others! Hey if
Istvan from Brussels gets this...curse lifted mate I passed this time!
Any advice? I can only say that for me I needed a good support
mechanism and that was my wife Lisa. Technically, IPExpert and
Internetworkexpert were my two resources and I kinda followed Scott
Morris since 2005 (sorry Brians) so I'll give this win to him if thats
OK.
So, good luck to all you candidates - this is something you CAN do and
I am living truth of that.
Thank you for all your support over the years!
Rich Lowton
