Hey Ryan,

You bring up a very good point, actually. You were part of a thread
the other day regarding late-phase preparation tactics. I was tempted
to offer you one piece of advice but didn't for whatever reason. I'll
offer it now, in light of this latest firestorm:

I completely shut out GS and all other distractions starting about 30
days out from my lab date. I had a very limited circle of people I
maintained any kind of contact with whatsoever. None of this traffic
is helpful to those of you marching in to do battle soon, even if it's
"interesting" to the community as a whole. The list membership
requirement to either be a CCIE or have a firm lab date scheduled is
apparently no longer enforced, and to the detriment of the list and
especially to its members who are still serious candidates, IMHO.
Thus, it's up to you yourself to manage what gets processed through
your mental inbox. Use the force Luke...
