Hey Jared,
That was a great explaination... I've been wondering this for months and
even ask everyone in my company, no one could honestly explain the detailed
difference.... but know I understand...

Sure it can make a difference in the exam, Aly.

For "ip multicast boundary" look for questions about allowing or denying
certain multicast traffic through an interface. This command is also
bi-directional, so that would probably be factored into the wording (or
inferable from the wording).

For "ip igmp access-group" look for questions about hosts on a subnet being
able to either only join certain groups or not join certain groups, as that
is what the command is for.

A quick question
What is the difference between using
RX(config-if)#ip multicast boundary
RX(config-if)#ip igmp access-group

I know one filters the igmp requests and the other filters the traffic

but practically in the exam does it make a difference
