Larry,

I think the answer is you need another attempt... Don't take it too badly...
Life is all chance... Great job, Bad job. Nice lady, leftist feminist. Cool client, wants 100 hours work for $100. You have to learn to just brush this stuff off and keep going... Everyone that failed had their doubts they would ever pass... but believe me. As long as there is a strong will, then you shall pass.

Its only money... $1400... I know MANY people with high six, or seven figure 401k or stock accounts.... gone since last year... I know one guy who was "set". He's like 5 years older than me. He had like $1M in his 401k, ira, etc. he is down to like nothing now... he even threw his $150,000 release package after a merger into the markets 1 year ago only to see it evaporate last fall.

We all die and turn grey at some point... Imagine looking at yourself dead 5 minutes after you died at age, say 52 from pancreatic cancer... Who will care?

Now still want to quit chasing this cert?

Subject: Core Knowledge - Don't mis-interpret this

A grabbing subject which I have seen tons of posts on. The problem is the
section is not what it implies...

I usually don't post much but for some reason I have not heard anyone
explain what is expected from this section. Some say to read and know your
core L3 stuff really good... other say that it is so easy that you don't
have to study... Well I figured I would assist in this quest as I failed the
test a few weeks back because of this very topic and think there is a
feeling out there that if you know your routing/L3 you will be okay....
Don't be fooled by Core Knowledge - know your ip services/features and off
topics and know how to configure them w/o the doc cd (or at least try).

Here is a post that I added to my blog, take it for what it is worth. I have
talked to a lot of other candidates some that had similar experiences and
some had such basic stuff that a ccna could answer. Hopefully this will save
someone $1400!
