ip pim rp-announce-filter

Does the ip pim rp-announce-filter command only affect RPs learned via
Auto-RP??? Will it only work with
Auto-RP or will it also work with BSR?? I ask because the following
documentaion:

Use the* *ip pim rp-announce-filter command to filter incoming
*Auto-RP*announcement messages sent from C-RPs to RP mapping agents.
