Paul,

* you might've been asking about the frame relay encapsulation types which
could be IETF or the default encap ?For this, i think it should be default
unless specified.

* lmi-type would be be also specified or hinted what to be used for, or we
could enable the debug frame-relay lmi and find it?

(If no clue, the trial and error method + debugs maybe the last resort)
