BGP clarification on clear ip bgp

I have a scenario...

R2 (AS 200)- R1(AS 100) - R3 (AS300)

Each having a loopback int say 1.0.0.0, 2.0.0.0, 3.0.0.0 advertised in bgp

if i do a clear ip bgp * on my R1, and if i do a sh ip bgp
it shows me the loopback of R2 and R3 in it. But it takes a time to show
the loopback of R1(that is its own network).

Why is this?
