Good aproach for the core design but why not using IS-IS instead of OSPF?
About your question on "how to accomplish this"...hmmmm, this is quite a
"open ended question". :o))

I would say this really depends on so many factors that one cannot just give
"THE" advice. One would have to be very familiar about your network and your
hardware.
I would say that Cisco SE (Sales Engineer) can provide you a great solution.

To get a basic idea about the network concepts with mpls, there are great
books out on Ciscopress, check it out.

Roger

Betreff: MPLS instead of BGP in core

Hi Everyone,

My colleagues and I are looking at a new design for our core
network. Right now we are using OSPF in the core and would like to either
add
full BGP tables or use MPLS with OSPF. If we can come up with a design that
will allow MPLS I believe we can lower the cost of the switches we will need
to purchase. Does anyone have any idea how to accomplish this?

Kind Regards,
Shawn
