Hi group
Im working on internetwork expert SP tech labs , im doing some CSC tests,
page 176 hirechical mpls vpn
I got the topology working but the label switching path is breaking from
time to time , wondering if you guys have seen something like this
im enclosing the LDP path for reference
from R7 to BB1 ( 10.1.7.7 to 212.18.1.0 ) the path is always stable
R3
VPN label
212.18.1.0 150.1.6.6 nolabel/23
transport
16 18 150.1.6.6/32 0 Se1/2 point2point
R1
18 18 150.1.6.6/32 115 Se2/0.1 point2point
R2
18 18 150.1.6.6/32[V] 24235 Fa0/0 150.1.24.0
R4
18 16 150.1.6.6/32[V] 22405 Se1/0.1 point2point
R6
16 Pop tag 150.1.6.6/32 21572 Et0/0 150.1.56.6
which is correct now on the way back on the CSC_PE (R2) LDP is broken
from BB1 to R7 ( 212.18.1.0 to 10.1.7.7 )
R6
VPN label
10.1.7.0/24 150.1.3.3 nolabel/23
transport
17 17 150.1.3.3/32 0 Et0/0 150.1.56.5
R5
17 22 150.1.3.3/32 41756 Se1/0.1 point2point
R4
22 21 150.1.3.3/32[V] 46118 Et0/0 150.1.24.2
*Mar 1 03:29:39.159: MPLS: Se1/0.1: recvd: CoS=0, TTL=253, Label(s)=22/23
*Mar 1 03:29:39.163: MPLS: Et0/0: xmit: CoS=0, TTL=252, Label(s)=21/23
R2
21 No Label 150.1.3.3/32[V] 1007 Se2/0.1 point2point
<--here
i dont know why R3 is putting a no label in there is should continue with
the path
R4 is doing its job just fine
the debug mpls pack in R2 shows the following
R2
03:16:46: MPLS les: Fa0/0: rx: Len 122 Stack {21 0 252} {23 0 254} - ipv4
data
03:16:48: MPLS les: Fa0/0: rx: Len 122 Stack {21 0 252} {23 0 254} - ipv4
data
03:16:50: MPLS les: Fa0/0: rx: Len 122 Stack {21 0 252} {23 0 254} - ipv4
data
im thinking if R2 is removing all labels then R2 should be sending regular
ip traffic and then its been drooped however i run deb ip pack and i dont
see that pack at all
the weird part is that after running continue pings at some point it
works, i thought it was the IOS so i upgrade my routers but still no luck im
using on R2 ( Cisco 7206VXR ) Version 12.2(25)S15. btw this is a dymapis
lab setup
when it works R2 looks like this
21 16 150.1.3.3/32[V] 29764 Se2/0.1 point2point
R1
16 Pop Label 150.1.3.3/32 52323 Se2/1 point2point
im going nuts with this make no sense why is working at some point , the
worst part is that its not a short time , it can last for quite long
Type escape sequence to abort.
Sending 10000, 100-byte ICMP Echos to 10.1.7.7, timeout is 2 seconds:
BB1#ping 10.1.7.7 re 10000
Translating "10.1.7.7"
Type escape sequence to abort.
Sending 10000, 100-byte ICMP Echos to 10.1.7.7, timeout is 2 seconds:
