I do not see a way to do this and be able to access it from the directory
handler. The directory handler points to subscribers and requires that there
be something recorded in the name recording and the list in directory box
checked to be listed.

If you want to access the subscriber from the directory handler, you could
create a subscriber but disable the leave message after the greeting and
configure it to transfer directly to the extension. Consumes a voicemail
license.

Another options would be to configure a transfer call handler. Configure the
call handler to transfer directly to the extension. Configure a caller input
key on the main call handler that contains a caller input to the directory
handler, and have it transfer to the transfer call handler. Will not consume
a voicemail license.
