Well said Tyson.
I took a CIT class in 1998 with Marty Adkins. My boss back then was Greg
Urban. I then worked with Ron Trunk in 2000 at Time Bridge.
After staying put for 8 years, when I looked for a new job, guess who
interviewed me? :) Yes. It's Marty and Ron.
Greg knows most of my current management team. So yeah, it is a small world.
Regards,

Subject: RE: Dumps are already out for open-ended questions!!
If I may chime in here.
A lot of people thru-out the world see the benefit of obtaining the CCIE.
Some see the benefit and find that more important than their integrity. I
would say that most people on this list haven't been around for long enough
to be aware of Hello Computers. But Hello Computers HQ was on Tasman Drive
in San Jose. Under a mile away from the testing center. So I think that is
about as close to home as it gets to Cisco HQ. Hello Computers was
basically shut down by Cisco because of breaking the NDA (Prevented from
offering Cisco courses thus no longer in business). Many Cisco employees
lost their CCIE's because of the crackdown that occurred 4 or 5 years ago.
Many of these people were citizens of the good old USA.
Is it possible that there are countries that are more prevalent to cheating,
sure. An associate that works for titlist, a golf company, had their own
problems for example. A few years ago when they would send proto-types of
clubs for production there were actually black market versions of their
clubs before they could actually release their own product. They have
chosen to go with other manufacturers because of this but they had to deal
with this problem as well. (We could all get into a long argument about the
social reasons for problems like this to occur but we are studying for the
CCIE right:)
So, when I worked for Cisco when we did technical interviews we could tell
who really was a CCIE, or CCIE level knowledge, and who wasn't. People that
choose to not gain the knowledge from the hard work will hurt themselves in
the end so please refrain from the racial slurs on this list. Be assured
when you put the work into the certification you will be benefited in the
end.
I know many of you may not realize how small of a world it is, but be aware
you want to keep friends in this industry because sooner or later you may be
working with some of the people on this list or seeking help from others
that become cisco TAC and suddenly find yourself in a world of pain ;). I
am seriously surprised how often I end up working again with people from
previous experiences. Not just people in my region but often I find people
commenting to me from accounts I have worked on in Asia Pacific, South
America, Europe, etc.

great, more political correctness...
I am not making a statement about the entire region... I would name them if
I knew their names so we can avoid this white, non-white bs. Why is it that
every time someone mentions Asian or African, some of us can't help but
think on racial terms?
As far as making a statement about that region, I think the rest of the
world refers to that region as "third world," I think that says it all.
Good day!
