Yeah, just as Nadeem pointed out.
You need to either convert everything to MST or convert everything to
PVRST+.
MST has CST inside as well and uses that for compatibility with other
domains. CST is pured 802.1D
PVRST+ checks compatibility on the port, and if it sees .1D pdu, it falls
back from 802.1w as well. Shutting the port to recover to PVRST+ will not
help as well, since you need to either reload the switch or change config to
some other STP and back....
Basically, slow convergence is due to different spanning tree protocols you
are running, and the only sure way of solving the issue is consolidate your
network and configure same stp everywhere.
