Hi,

Even if you just do mutual import export it will not help, import & export
works only with multiprotocol BGP

Redistribute connected ( under AFI) is the easiest method as suggested by
rich.

As a side note, keep atleast one IP address assigned to the routers global
ip address table. Since you want to use BGP routing for vrf routing. BGP
process will not start as it cannot assign a router id.
