I can tell you this...
Lately I've been watching some COD/VOD's and I've been looking at them from
a perspective of "quality".
Well...
I'm going to leave it at that. "Quality".
Take a look and if you like the "Quality" then you are fine.
If you do not like the "Quality" - email the instructor or host and ask them
"Hey bud.... WTF?" Did you or did you not actually prep for the COD/VOD?
Do you not believe in "REHEARSAL"?
Recently I was watching one of these and I swear the guy must have repeated
something to the effect of "if you don't like my stuff or want to complain"
and this WAS IN THE VIDEO...
Compare anyone's COD/VOD or class to:
David Huccaby - Cisco Press Video Mentor ASA Firewall.
Now I'm not saying everyone can cram every single word as succintly as David
did into those 5.5 hours of COD/VOD.
But then go look at what Chris Bryant did for Train Signal....
Again... look for "Quality"...
Now if you've been to a Narbik bootcamp.... How much does the guy repeat
himself? Unless asked?
He's like those guys but in-person.
Some of the other guys - I've seen their COD/VOD and I'm not sure I'd want
to hear someone continually telling me the same thing 3-4 times per hour per
lecture - per topic - per day...
40-60 Hour class.
20 Hours Repeat about if you don't like their stuff or the same repeat
performance over and over....
Or having technical issues on my $2000 - $5000.00 per week dime.
If you want to repeat the same sentences 20x times in one week - you've
always got the Cisco360 program.
Albeit, they did not have technical difficulties aside from a few editorial
issues found in their materials which they cleaned as they went.
But think "Quality".
Ask for it.
Demand it.
If not...
Ask for the refund policy...
"Quality".
Hey let me know if anyone ever asked Narbik for a refund? Somehow I just
don't see it.
Can everyone say that or ask that publicly?
It's true?
Not many would ask that question on this list.
I can ask it about Narbik.
I cannot and would not ask it about mostly any other vendor. I've been here
too long or I've been a customer and I know the story already.
There may be some exceptions I'm not aware of... but I'm pretty aware
comparatively speaking.
Narbik is the "paradigm shift" for this segment of the training industry and
until someone else finds a way to top it.... that's just the way it is.
Now - as far as forums go - IE and IP Expert both are kicking @$$ and
taking names - no doubts.
We are still waiting for the Videos past number 8 from InternetworkExpert.
Not sure why that stopped. But it seems to have stopped and can't get back
up. Maybe enough people did not buy it?
No one seems to know or care enough about the SP market to even go all the
way.
No one makes Written Test Guides for most the CCIE Written Exams - maybe I
found my nitch?
Imagine how most Triple or Quad CCIE's must feel when it takes 5:1 to tackle
1 Triple CCIE who works pretty much alone?
There's no need to F-E-A-R....
Underdog is H-E-R-E.... umm.... I mean Narbik....
Seriously though.
This should not be seen as an advertisement or endorsement as much as a
wake-up call for better quality.
Look if you just did the COD/VOD and it looks like it sucks...
It probably does...
You don't need me to tell you this. It's true. It really is.
Get back and watch it with your team... and discuss what can be done better
and then re-record it.
Hey you might have to do it more than once.
Guess what?
I bet your whole presentation improves 1000% and everyone starts... starts
replacing "Narbik" with your name... well... maybe....and at least
sometimes...
I know a few guys might be burnt out a little... OR A LOT.... You know who
you are... You don't need me to light a fire and tell you.
I once advised that trainers would do well to attend a class with Narbik.
I'm not sure that is possible - since you are probably competitors but you
might ask...
I said something a long time ago and I'm going to say it again...
If you spent $5,000.00 or $10,000.00 or even $20,000.00 (Cisco 360... not
mentioning names)....
And you think you did not get something - Ask for your money back as nicely
as you can...
And go see Narbik. ASAP. Like a BEE-LINE. See what you are missing.
Now if you really think you came out missing stuff and they don't want to
give you a refund - most won't....
Just ask them to take $2000.00 or whatever it costs and ask them to buy you
a seat with Narbik....
Because most bootcamps do not cover the BASICS....
And the lab is what?
THE BASICS... and FUNDAMENTALS....
Ok
Sorry guys - but some of the people I see on these COD/VOD's really need
some presentation dress rehearsals... really sometimes it is that poor of
quality....
I just saw... QinQ... and really it left me "Shocked and in Awe" that it
ever saw the light of day as it was presented -and then S-O-L-D....
Just in case anyone forgot:
"QUALITY"
That was my theme in this post.
