I like it! One of my greatest professional passions is packet capture
and analysis. Amazing what we can debunk in terms of our own
misconceptions about how protocols really behave.
Have you considered a bug report? https://bugs.wireshark.org/
bugzilla/ You might be surprised how responsive the dev community can
be. Also, have a look here: http://wiki.wireshark.org/WishList And
consider joining the mailing list and getting engaged with the
community. As for a sample capture of ATM, in theory you could check
out this link: http://wiki.wireshark.org/SampleCaptures There is an
ATM sample to be found there but there appears to be some kind of
problem with it. It's quite old and was apparently carried over from
the old Ethereal days, so who knows what's up with that.
