LSA Type-3 Filtering , like stub areas, is used to remove LSAs from the
database
as advertisements move between areas. Unlike stub areas however, Type-3
LSA Filtering can be used to permit or deny any arbitrary inter-area routes
based on a prefix-list.
The filter-list syntax supports the arguments in and out, which are used to
allow
more control on ABRs that terminate multiple areas.
