Is it possible to avoid a route being installed in the routing table rising
the AD to 255with an ACL, but the LSA is still in the ospf database.
Am I right?

You can't do distribute-list out because the rules for OSPF (RFC) say that
everyone in an area must have an identical database. If you start filtering
things selectively, you will violate that and likely cause the downfall of
humankind.

It's entirely possible that someone did this and that's what has caused the
economic crisis of the world currently. Hmmmmm..

;)

You can use an area-filter to filter BETWEEN areas if you so desire, but not
within an area.

Subject: OSPF distribute list - Lab study

Hello

A distribute list INBOUND in OSPF avoids the route from entering local RIB
but doesn't stop LSAs propagation. I tried to use a distribute list OUTBOUND
and results are: routes still in IP routing table and still LSAs being
propagated.

Is there anyone than can explain me the effect of distribute list in OSPF??

Sorry if it seems an stupid question. Thanks in advance and Brgds..... Johan
