Subject: Passed my R&S LAB
Hi wonderful people,
It was a long journey towards the five digits! Finally I passed my R&S lab
last Monday March 2nd.
After the exam I didn't like to check my result. I was afraid of failing the
lab! And I decided not to check it unless I'm ready with a plan for the
second attempt :)
The second day passed without touching my computer trying to forget about
it. But every hour the issue was jumping into my head!
And while reading my mail I found an e-mail from Cisco, and in the preview I
read the word congratulations! hmmmmmm! It may be a spam! I read it word by
word. Oh my godness I did it!
It is a long story how I prepared for the exam. But really it needs
patiance, and commitment. The most two important things I would say:
First: It is not about how many scenarios you have implemented, it is always
about how much knowledge you got from each scenario. In other words don't
rush through labs. You think you save time, or you increase your speed. But
believe me you loose much more in terms of accuracy and troubleshooting.
Second: Going for a boot camp is a very good tool you need to consider. I
didn't go for a boot camp for financial reasons. But later on l realized
that the boot camp would save me much valuable time. It should put you in
the right track on the shortest time. Self preparation is OK but it is a
time consuming thing.
I like to thank all people in this great group. I was only asking questions
and reading answers :). but my self I guess I never answered a question, may
be I didn't like to mislead any body :)
Special thanks for these guys Dale Shaw, Narbik, and Pavel Bykov. They are
truly supportive in this group (at least for the questions I have asked) but
of course all of the guys here are wonderful.
Thanks,
Mahmoud Genidy
