Subnet masks creating additional interfaces, just for

Hi,
reading most of the preparations labs, you realize that they create
Loopbacks interfaces using /24 subnet mask, but from my point of
view, if you need to create them, and because the loopback interface
is not connection oriented, you will be closer to the "passing" score
using host subnet mask (/32), isn't?
In the same way, if you are asked to use a tunnel interface, new
addresses will be created using /24 mask? or /30 because there's a
kind of network just for two peers?

Cheers,
Roberto Clavero
