Brisbane was (unfortunately) as far north as I made it last time I was down
under... And it didn't really impress me there. I wanted really bad to
make it further up the gold coast as I want to dive the GBR. To view the
underwater beauty instead of the above water beauties. ;)
One of these days!
Scott

No one will debate the "scenery" Scott - that's a well accepted phenomenon.
Just keep heading north - the further north you go up Australia's east coast
the better it gets. Check out Brisbane, or better yet Cairns or Townsville.
Very picturesque. :)

hehhee... The food was very good in Melbourne when I was there. Probably
more so that Sydney on an "overall" scale. However the "scenery" was better
in Sydney IMHO. Perhaps when you live in Melbourne you just get used to it.
but coming from the outside where both places were new to me, that portion
was decidedly better in Sydney than in Melbourne.
Just my two cents,
Scott

LOL. When was the last time you and I debated this? Melbourne rules. Better
shopping, better food, better coffee - need I say more? :)
