A couple of things to be aware of, or beware, because I just went
through all of this. I installed Vista 64 on my laptop to utilize the
full 4GB RAM. While I did eventually get dynamips to work flawlessly
(for the mini scenarios that I was working on), you will not be happy
if you're using this laptop for daily teleworker functionality.
The Cisco VPN Client doesn't support Vista 64. You have to run
AnyConnect, which may not be a valid solution for you. I had to stand
up an ASA just for my remote access, as the 3060 VPN Concentrator
doesn't support AnyConnect. Also, I don't know if you run IP
Communicator, but it doesn't support Vista 64 either. I installed it
anyway, only to find that audio was cutting out on me for seconds or
minutes at a time without any issues with my network connection.
I finally just re-imaged my laptop with XP 32 bit and I'm much happier
teleworking...
